Real Estate Sector

Qatar is witnessing a great demand for warehousing facilities originating primarily from the manufacturing and logistics sector. Qatar Free Zone Authority is attracting significant investments from around the globe for setting up businesses in Qatar, as a result, Qatar is all set to witness a higher influx of investors. With more opportunities in the market and an increased inflow of a white-collared workforce, there can be a positive upturn in the demand for residential housing over the next short to middle term, providing a much-needed fillip to the sector.

Industrial Sector

Qatar’s industrial sector has the potential to play a pivotal role in the economic diversification of the country, with both heavy and light manufacturing in a position to benefit from it. Qatar’s industry, along with the domestic economy overall, has developed resilience and a level of self-sufficiency. Qatar witnessed robust month-on-month cement production growth during September 2020 as the country scaled back its Covid-19 restrictions. Cement Product production increased by 9.1%. Cement was one of several sectors to buck a wider trend of a continued industrial slowdown, according to the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA).

Hospitality Service Sector

Accor Middle East has signed a management agreement to operate two new hotels – a 153-room Ibis hotel, and a 153-key Adagio apartment hotel in Doha, Qatar, marking the first property for both brands in the city.

Located along the city’s C-Ring Road, which connects Doha’s central business district and airport, the hotels are part of a master plan combining hospitality, retail and office space.
